In addition, the Neoflix platform provides on-line tools for marketing and promotion. Filmmakers can begin self-distribution in as little as twenty-four hours. Neoflix manages credit card transactions, charge-backs/returns, order data transfer for picking and mailing, as well as notifying customers on shipments, answering customer inquiries, and remitting sales proceeds to filmmakers.
Neoflix.com has created a special fundraising program for Filmmakers Alliance through which the company will donate $25 to Filmmakers Alliance for every filmmaker, anywhere, who signs up for a customized on-line store. In addition, every registering filmmaker will receive a $40 discount off the original sign up fee of $238.00.
The Neoflix program creates a customized on-line store that can be linked to the back of the filmmaker's website or operates in a stand alone version. It is for both filmmakers and film enthusiasts and offers producers, directors and actors a place to get their films seen and sold directly to the public. Films can be viewed on a PC, Mac AppleTv, iPod, iPhone, as well as other devices, or copied to a DVD. WAMclips offers a non-exclusive license for their service and allows filmmakers to keep all the rights to their projects. Profits from downloads are split, from the first dollar to the last with sales prices ranging from $1.49 for up to fifteen minutes, to $7.95 for an hour.
